In my ongoing, and entirely unscientific survey of talking with people who don't have Saabs and have not considered them I find they think Saabs are...
> unreliable/always in the shop
> expensive to repair
> hard to get parts for
> weird looking
> expensive compared to similar size cars
> have less features than Japanese cars
> not very comfortable or are noisy to ride in.
I find it is almost all 2nd or 3rd hand impressions. There is a lot of Saab history out there that still hurts the marque. OR they had one that was a money pit and won't go back. Or their neighbor did. Or their brother-in-law's cousin's college roommate.
Then there are the ones who know Saabs are fast and fun but say they cost too much for a 4 cylinder car (even though they will admit a turbo Saab runs like a V8).
There's just no pleasing some folks!
