Good Mac bulletin board?

I'm looking for a good technical Macintosh bulletin board to post a question - any recommendations? I'll post it here too since there are a lot of discerning Saabnetters who are Mac users also:
I recently bought an iMac off ebay (500 MHz) as an upgrade from my older 350MHz model which had no firewire ports, nor an integrated CD burner. On my old Mac I ran OS 9.2 and 10.2 - I want to do the same on my new Mac. The 10.2 system disk loaded fine in the new machine, but the installation disk I have for OS 9 is version 9.0 (I upgraded to 9.2 step by step for free over the years), and this is not compatible with my newer machine (although 9.2 is). This means I can't install from my CD and then upgrade, which was my original intention.
So my question is - can I somehow backup my OS 9.2 system files from my old Mac and copy them on to the new Mac - or is there an "Installation" process that means the straight copying doesn't work? Otherwise I'm going to have to purchase OS 9.2 - which isn't too expensive on ebay, but annoying since I already have a legal, licensed, paid-for version on my older machine, albeit upgrade from 9.0.
Thanks
Rod
