I needed to drive back home this weekend, so I had to rent a car. I got a Hyundai Sonata from Hertz, that's the only midsize they had left. I'm pleasantly surprised how the quality of this car is miles over the Hyundai we rented a few years ago. It's quiet. It's insulated very well from wind noise, road noise, takes bumps very well. The drives remind me of a Buick or Oldsmobile, but a little tighter. The steering is super numb, but very smooth. Interior parts look on par with most Japanese cars. 2.7 liter V6, 4 wheel disc, ABS, 6 year/100K mile warranty, if I could only budget $16-17K for a new car, I might be tempted...
