Subaru B9X/Saab 9-6X

The new Subaru seven-seater crossover due next year will be called the B9X, and it's expected to show up in Detroit alongside a Saab version that may be badged the 9-6X. The $40,000 crossover will stretch the Subaru brand in price, positioning and in global cooperation, since a version of the same vehicle will be headed for GM's Saab division as well. It will come with all-wheel drive and a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. The new styling theme of the B9X will show up on future Subarus, and is previewed in this sketch distributed by Subaru. The car-based B9X goes on sale next summer.
