Morons at car stereo place... (long-ish)

I recently got an Alpine FM modulated CD changer put in my car at a large chain store here in Fort Collins (the one at Harmony and College, avoid it if you live here). The idiots put the fm modulator between the radio and climate controlers without sticking it to the bottom of the radio. The problem was first noted last week when the defroster wouldnt work. Today I finally got around to pulling out the climate control to discover that the little springy flexible plactic thingie that is behing the defrost, vent, and floor control had been broken by the fm modulator. I was outraged. I called the store but the manager was "on vacation". I left a message with him, we'll see if he calls back. The Alpine changer was replacing a pioneer changer that didnt work in the cold. I gave the old one to my significant other, she went to another business to have it installed today and the idiots from the place I had it done had kept the cable from the trunk to the modulator. I couldn't believe it. I think they should buy me a new cable, refund the $70 it cost me for labor, and pay for the part they broke to be fixed. Based on the fact that it is UNSAFE to drive in the winter in Colorado without a defroster, I think the minimum they can do is to do this. I don't think thats unreasonable.
