From the sounds of it, the install was not thoroughly completed. But regardless, give them a chance.
The reason I mention this is that one of my very good friends owns the best car audio (/video now too?!) install shop in WNY. His philosophy is if they do happen to break something (big if, but if), it is less "costly" for him to replace it and explain to the owner then for the headache it would cost him to play dumb and refuse. Reputations are everything.
So if they don't straighten it out, then go nuts. Most likely a big chain will see it as a loss, and might (unfortunately) pay and move on (not correcting future "errors"). So next time, find a reputable local place and try to stay away from the "big chains." Being a cookie cutter store, they are more concerned about cookie cutter installs, not interested in any customizations or personal touches.
