Amy,
As a guy, my sex drive can vary significantly. I have occasionally been accused of cheating and lack of interest in the girl because I wasn’t very interested in sex. Now other times, I have been very horny (no need to go into details on Saabnet!). Honestly, I have no idea why these swings take place, but from a male’s perspective it is sort of an uncomfortable topic. It seems that females expect us to be constantly horny (even if they are not) and get a little freaked out otherwise. Thus, don’t be so quick to condemn your man as being disinterested (though this obviously could be the case). Are there other factors at work here? Has he been working more or taken a more stressful job? It could also be something more subtle, but still stressful. If he has been with you for a year, maybe he is getting nervous about commitment/marriage, or generally freaked out about his position in life as he gets a little older and more established. These can be pretty tough things to talk about with your man, but worth it. If your man is the kind of guy that would go to therapy, perhaps you should look into that.
Good luck!
