I was living on Beacon St. in Somerville during the April Fool's snowstorm in 1997. We had 31". I had on-street parking and have pictures of my car buried over the roof in a plowdrift. During this blizzard we got about 18" up here on the NH seacoast. I actually had to drive home from N. Conway on Saturday night. It was no fun on Rte. 16.
It's such a mess in the city from the snow. I work in Cambridge and can't believe how high the drifts are. Walking on the sidewalks in places is like walking in a canyon. I hope the warm weather this weekend melts some of the snow. Luckily, the Friday before the storm I ditched the OE Pirellis and got some new BF Goodrich T/As on my '00 93SE vert. They have saved me a few times, especially on Tuesday.
But, it wouldn't be New Englad without snow and I know I wouldn't have it any other way. I do miss my Somerville and Arlington days but living up here in the country when it snows is great too.
