My Saab has it set to the passenger side...>>> Posted by PGAero [Email] (#1143) [Profile/Gallery] (more from PGAero) on Fri, 4 Feb 2005 14:41:28 In Reply to: Why is the hand brake on the far side of the console?, awg, Thu, 3 Feb 2005 18:29:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 9000, and the "E" brake is not on the driver's side of the ceter section. It's on the passenger side. Not nearly as much as the Merc here, but that's where it is.
It might have something to do with international cars. Here's a link of a 9-5 interior from a RHD country. Maybe they'll compain about it being on the left?
Like MO said, an "emergency" is really just a parking brake. HAve you every tried to slow you car down with only the e-brake? I only use mine in the snow if I WANT to messa round by locking up the rear tires...and then I only do it when there's no one else around. (Oh, and when I'm running from the Joker, I'll use it on occation so as not to light up the brake lights...inconspicuous!!)
HAppy Days!
