I think it also has to do with a general attitude around here. People feel the need to drive very aggressively -- like everyone else is in the way. It's true -- everyone else is in the way -- but you've just got to relax and deal with it. Congestion is a fact of life around here because it's so populated and the roads were so poorly planned in the 1950s.
I think people forget that inside the other cars are people too. This is something I've become *acutely* aware of since there is now a babyseat in the back of my car. Next time you feel the need to tailgate someone or drive aggressively just think that the life you're putting at risk could be someone's Mom or Dad or baby.
