Buying sight unseen is the whole thing with E-Bay so I think it would work in your favor. You do have to have at least 8 to 10 good pictures of everything--engine, interior, trunk etc. Give a fair and honest decription of what's right and wrong with the car. Make sure the car is thoroughly detailed--pay someone to do it if you don't have the inclination. Wait for a nice sunny day, maybe early evening when the light is softer. Take it to a park or someplace pretty. If you aren't good with a camera find someone who is. Although I haven't seen the car, based on your description I think you might be asking too little for it. You started with a nice description that had me ready to jump on a plane with a check--it sounded like a nice rust free car you could drive and cherry out as you go (a likely scenario for the type of "collectors" likely to be interested in such a car). But then you "unsold me" by saying it's at a point where it needs to be restored which many equate with "basket case." Stick to the facts, leave out the irrelevent stuff and let the buyer conclude if it needs to be restored or not. Good luck.
