I had a fridge do this in my last house.
It's not an issue if the fridge does not self defrost, but most do these days. Be sure to clean out the drain pipe thoroughly, as they can get quite crudded up. Depending on the unit, you have to do various amounts of disassembly to get at all the relevant parts. It's not hard, just a nuisance.
While you are at it, vacuum all the cooling grids so it will run more efficiently. If these are clear the thing will work harder and everything will get frosty, including inside the main section, not just the freezer.
