Since you are here with the Air National Guard, try to take your girlfriend to the Seabreeze out by Hickam AFB Beach for lunch. The buffet is usually good (especially Wednesday and Friday) and the atmosphere very enjoyable. Orville and Wilbur's is another good place to eat on base (breakfast and lunch). It's by the Officers Club and looks out over the entrance to Pearl Harbor. Walk toward Diamond Head along the beach to Duke's just before sunset and relax over dinner and/or a drink while the sun goes down. Food at the Hale Koa is decent and reasonably priced, but there are better restaurants. Waikiki is full of action. I've lived here for 3 years and have yet to see and do everything. There is lots to do on Oahu, but the other islands are more laid back. I really enjoyed Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island. Have fun, but don't lose the ring in the sand!
