I haven't had that exact problem, but I have learned to accommodate a certain amount of discomfort from underwires (which are, let's face it, a necessity for certain figures). One my best bras has a wire that jabs all day long in the same place, and at the end of the day I've got an ouchy red welt there. Painful and unattractive! (Yes, men, this is the reality of being a woman: in addition to spending half your life ripping hairs out of your flesh by their roots, you also have to pack yourself into underwear that hurts you.)
But are you seriously spending $40 for a bra that keeps developing the same flaw? I'd say they are ripping you off with a poor-quality product. I go to places like Marshalls and Target, and I spend maybe $12.99 on a bra. If you're patient you can find all sorts of pretty things, and they do the exact same job as the posh brands. I don't shop at Victoria's Secret anyway: most of their cutest styles stop short of my size. ;o) What a terrible plight, no?
