Why are some things in about the same place (headlight switches and directionals on left side of steering wheel), while equally critical items (like wiper and washer switches and cruise controls) are in different places and work differently?
Why are radio controls so small?
Why are some window controls on the doors and others on the console? And why are some rockers and some (like Saabs) push/lift type?
