Your EFC is very high, the Financial Advisor may be able to help lower it by submitting a revised FAFSA. Even an EFC below $16,000 won't lower the amount you and your daughter will be expected to pay (personal experience with this one), but you may qualify for subsidized loans.
I also agree with your assessment of Private vs Public schools. A high achieving student will pay no more at a Private School than at a State one.
