I'm in Calgary, as is Michael Smith, and we both have '97 9000 Aeros. I had to buy mine from a guy in Boston, however. 9000s for sale here are kind of uncommon, but they do pop up once in a while. Your price range will probably put you in around a '92-94, is my guess. (resale prices for Saabs are higher here compared to most places). Cost of running an old Saab here is not cost prohibitive, but it presents some challenges. If you're a DIYer, you can buy parts from eeuroparts and you're laughing. There are a couple of indys, and dealer labour rates are actually not too bad, $90cdn or so. There are NO local junkyards that have Saabs in them. Lots of places will bring them in from somewhere else, but personally I found just using the internet a much better option.
