Parting out car, any tips? Posted by IanC [Email] (#139) [Profile/Gallery] (more from IanC) on Fri, 22 Apr 2005 18:33:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a 92 Nissan Pathfinder that has a fatal case of frame rot. With 92K on the clock and a good transmission, A/C, doors, etc. etc. I think my best chance of getting any money out of it is to sell it for parts. Are there any guidelines to going about that process? I was thinking eBay or a classified ad but don't know if I keep my plates, do I need to insure it while selling, if I cancel the plates and registration can the buyer drive it away (it still drives fine, I just think it's too risky to do anymore?
Thank you, the only other car selling experience is when I sold my old Jeep to a friend to buy the Pathfinder. Probably should have kept the Jeep...
