As far as I know, Lawn Boy mowers are still powered by two-stroke engines. These are somewhat high-end machines and their durability must be good, as many of the landscaping contractors around my neighborhood seem to use them - bright green color, hard to miss.
I repaired my lawnmower engine last year after consulting the site at the link, turned out to be a tear in a $5 rubber gasket in the carburetor. Note that some engine manufacturers have their own sites: I was able to get the part number for the gasket from Briggs and Stratton's site.
