OT: Gravity / Mystery Hill...things rolling uphill

Evidently there are many spots around the world where things roll (or appear to roll) uphill.
There is one such "hill" in San diego (where I reside) right off a freeway exit (805 South onto Mira Mesa/Sorrento Valley). At the bottom of the exit (at the stoplight), if you put your car in neutral, foot off the brake, the car magically rolls backwards up the hill!
We tried this the other night to debunk this myth and couldn't. The car really seemed to roll up the hill. This is a busy exit, so we didn't see how far the car rolled up but I've heard you can roll all the way up the to the freeway. (BTW, from the freeway, you are clearly looking down at the begin point). Either this is an optical illusion (as I am apt to believe) or there is something unexplainable happening.
The urban legend about this spot is that there was a school bus accident a while back and no one survived. Evidently, the benevolent "ghosts" of the deceased push your vehicle up and away from the intersection so that no one else gets hurt again.
I'm thinking about bring a GPS to the spot and measuring the elevations. Anyway, it is a wild experience and sure to cuse you to scratch your head....
