If you want to add some Sport to your Touring, consider the VFR800 (or 750).
To most, they just look like some "crotch rocket", but the 800 (pre-VTEC) is arguably the best SPORT-Touring bike ever made. The bike is as reliable as any ever made, if you need service while touring, Honda dealerships everywhere.
How much do you want to spend? What are your touring expectations? Solo or with a pinion (passenger)?
If on a budget, used VFR750's and Concours are both very reasonably priced and very reliable.
BMW's basically started the sport-touring niche, but are pricey.

DON'T SKIMP ON RIDING GEAR. I don over $1000 in gear every time that I get on bike, and that doesn't even include the full-face helmet.
