I've owned a 9-2x Aero, a WRX wagon and a Subaru Forrester (mention that because it's the same engine as the linear). I'd agree with Mike that the Aero stick is the way to go, test drove an auto and couldn't believe it was the same engine. Then again, depends on how you drive, what you're looking for, etc. The Forrester (which is probably a little heavier than the Linear) had some nice grunt off the line and seemed to get going as fast as I ever wanted it to without any complaints, but then again, I didn't want to race it so to speak since it was a high profile wagon/almost SUV. The linear will definitely save you $$ in gas. I traded my WRX for the 9-2x Aero because I wanted some things the WRX didn't offer: sunroof, heated seats, climate control. But I think at this point, you may not be able to choose what kind of 9-2x you want...
