taxes, condo and other common fees, insurance goes up with that kind of rental traffic?, you need a storage room for your personal property that is not out for renters, sales tax on rental revenue, income tax on profits after expenses, payment to rental/managment company, pay for house keeping (cleaning and linens), grass mowing/lanscape care, golf course fees, water. electricity, garbage, drain water, sewerage, phone bills and long distance charges to get paid off, cable TV (block pay-per-view), internet access?

income is high in the summer and quite a bit lower in early spring, in the early spring you can rent for one month for what you might get per week in the summer

perhaps timesharing is a good option as well, other than the stuff off the top of my head, I have no experience with these things, although I did consider getting into rentals at one point, and found the number too marginal for my local market

I think that a timeshare or rental arrangement where you do not have to deal with all of the above details would make for a better experience, but perhaps that kills the numbers.
