Any MP3 file works on iPod Posted by Greg Abbott [Email] (#2746) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Greg Abbott) on Wed, 7 Sep 2005 16:22:27 In Reply to: Don't share your opinion., SaabSpeed, Wed, 7 Sep 2005 13:56:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's only the DRM-protected files bought from the iTunes store that are locked to authorized computers -- and those aren't MP3's (they're Apple-specific MP4's).
I have 7 gigs of music files in my iTunes library - and 95% + of those files are ripped from my own CD's. All of which I can play on my iPod without a problem.
I don't know where this "iPod only works with files bought from the iTunes store" idea comes from.
