OT anyone use virtual PC on a high-end G5?

I've recently made the switch to Mac, and am trying to figure out what to do about Quicken. I have 12 years worth of info on my PC quicken file, and have gotten conflicting reports as to whether it's possible to swap the file over to quicken for mac. My other option is to get virtual PC for the mac and continue to run my windows Quicken version, although probably slower than I would like.
It's a brand new dual 2.3 with a GB of ram, so if anything should run virtual "fast" this one should.
Has anyone tried moving a quicken data file across the platforms? I searched the mac and intuit forums and have found both answers. It looks like it gets harder the more recent version of quicken you have, and I have 2005.
