Thanks for the comments.
I'm actually in pretty good shape. I have plenty of water, plenty of food that needs no cooking, flashlights, radio, batteries, radio and flashlight that need no batteries, passports, insurance policies, tools, knives, shotgun, etc etc....
I stoppped at Kroger mainly to try to buy a loaf or two of commercial bread (with preservatives) which lasts longer than the bakery bread I usually use. But it's not a crisis. Still, a Twinkie or two never hurt.
Some may question the wisdom of staying in Sugar Land, but, other than that, my preparation is reasonable. I'll probably spend the next couple days on house preparation rather than figuring out the Viggen fan problem, but I'll get to it next week.
I'm not going anywhere the next few days, anyway. The roads are still packed... I live near the intersection of TX 6 and US59, and both are still bumper-to-bumper as of 10PM, when I went out and tried but failed to top off my already adequate supply of gasoline and cash dollars.
To Duhey and Drew, and to other Saabnetters in the area, Good luck. Stay safe, stay dry, and take care of your loved ones. And say a prayer or two. I'm sure God will be happy to hear from you.
Dave
