Much the same as others here.
Less complexity--fewer computers/electronics/gee-whizz toys
Iron-clad reliability of all systems
250K durability on engine and driveline
Great seats and responsive steering
Predictable handling on all surfaces with a comfortable ride
Excellent winter traction without AWD
35-40 mpg highway, 25-30 around town
Power to weight ratio of about 14 to 1 (ie, ~220 hp in a 3200 lb car) and more torque than horsepower. More than that you really can't use in sane and normal driving.
"Timeless styling" (hard to define, but think of a Porsche 911, original Jag XK-E, Shelby AC Cobra. NOT just what looks good now or is trendy/bland like Acuras, Honda, Toyotas, Chrysler products)
Basically, all I want is a 2005 version of my '96 9000 CSE. With all the weird "9K stuff" fixed, a little more headroom, good cup holders and a bit more roll stiffness. And maybe a little extra poke, just for grins =8^)
And as jp notes, a Factory Five Cobra would be fine, but not as my only ride. It is bare essentials. And there's a lot to be said for that.
