if you were planning on doing free trip and airline and hotels allow it to go to Whistler, do it. (they have lots of hotels, so hopefuly you have points with one of them. Just not sure about 2 weeks for air ticket with points...)
They have the best mountain bike trail in NA just as their ski trail is one of the best. You can save some money with exchange rate and tax return at the time of return to the states. You don't need to rent a car, just a bike. (most likely the latest flashiest bike...)
if you have a week to kill, I recommend that rather than driving around your local hills. You can hit those on any weekend, but whenelse can you go to Canada to mountain bike? Possibly the trip to change your attitude on whole mountain bike thing?
