I have have checked the gas mileage for countless of tanks in both the 960s I have owned (one sedan and this one a SW), filling up the tank full and reset trip odometer.
Even trying 3 tanks in a row with 87 and three tanks with 91 without seeing any difference at all in performance, pinging or gas mileage.
I get about between 12.5 to 14.3 mpg except the last tank that was 10 mpg?
They both run good and pass smog with flying colors.
I live only 2 miles from work so the car run in full choke mode almost all the way to work and then I shut it off just to repeat the cycle at night going home.
I have a heavy lead foot and the car is sluggish off the line so that contribute to it together with having the A/C on all the time.
One tank I manage to finish during pure freeway driving and got 21 mpg.
My old car which was a 78 Lincoln Cont Mk V gave me about 7 mpg back and forth to work and 12 mpg during freeway driving.
