I spent eight years (1971-1979) in lovely Bloomington getting my PhD and MBA - remember it fondly.
The IN lemon law looks fairly similar to the CA law from which I have benefited recently. In short, it means you have a "lemon" if 1) there have been four unsuccessful separate attempts to remedy the same "nonconformity" but it has not been remedied after the fourth attempt, or 2) it has been in the shop for any number of separate "nonconformities" for 30 business days or more (excludes Sun and holidays).
One web link of many is attached below. Google is very helpful in these cases.
Partial quote:
IC 24-5-13-15
Sec. 15. (a) A reasonable number of attempts is considered to have been undertaken to correct a nonconformity if:
(1) the nonconformity has been subject to repair at least four (4) times by the manufacturer or its agents or authorized dealers, but the nonconformity continues to exist; or
(2) the vehicle is out of service by reason of repair of any nonconformity for a cumulative total of at least thirty (30) business days, and the nonconformity continues to exist.
