Earlier this week I bid on and won a new Valentine One radar detector on ebay. The total came to about $350. I sent the Paypal as normal, and it went through. Last night I received a notice from Paypal saying that my payment was being refunded, pending the clearing of funds from the seller's account. My Paypal online statement does show a pending credit for the full amount.
Tonight I received this email from the seller (not the bad grammar, spelling, etc):
<<Hello,
We have been making calls to all the warehouses in the sourround states around us looking for items to replace the merchandise that we had stollen or damaged when our store was broke into an vandalised. We have found a few warehouses that are letting us buy from them so that we can get all of our customers out there items ASAP. If you are still wanting your item that you bought from us. Send us an e-mail to ________ and let us know if you do still want your item(s), what item(s) you ordered, how many you ordered, and the E-mail address for us to send the invoice to if you do still want your merchandise.
We thank you for your understanding, and hope to keep your business.

Now does that sound a little effed up or is it just me? The charge hasn't shown yet on my Amex statement, but the refund is still Pending on my Paypal account. Should I contact Paypal or Amex or anthing? I've never had this happen before...
