Retrospect software. You set it up the first time and it indexes the computer's hard drive as it saves it. The next time you just push one button and walk away. The job is done while you have dinner.
I got a 200 GB, but you can get much smaller ones. The Retrospect software came with mine, otherwise you have to buy it. You can configure it different ways depending on your needs. Or you can just do a drag and drop to the external drive.
I back up a PowerBook (my daily driver) and the household iMac. Soon to add another PowerBook, so lots of space is a good thing.
