I searched the threads & have a different problem. I have had good luck with the printer for a couple of years. Of late, however, the yellow toner light has been on & I had it looked at professionally, for about a hundred buck$. I run Mac OS X and HP does not support their products for Macs, though they're happy to sell them to Mac owners. Another long story I won't rant about.

The yellow toner light is now blinking, showing it's "either missing or out of toner." I replaced with a new refurb toner cartridge & the symptoms do not change. Still a blinking light & it will not print, even in black & white.

I suspect a sensor in the printer is malfunctioning, but another $100 to tell me "there is nothing wrong with it and it's probably your computer" does not bode well. I have re-installed the software, updated it, re-installed the default printer, restarted OS X, etc. and still no luck. Any hints appreciated. I may even respond to a hint of throwing it down the stairs & see if that helps.
