Used to be up to 50,000 yearly killed by DUI.
Yes, the numbers are higher than for me as a safer driver who avoids speeding, but the numbers are not brutal, like drunk driviers.
Lets look at the REAL BOTTOM LINE. AAA stresses that teens drive like they are taught to drive, and the AAA stressed that teens drive like their parents. If you talk on the cell phone while flipping a cop the bird as you yell at your wife and hit your kid, odds are that kid will drive poorly. If you do like I do, and show your son from an early age that stop signs mean stop, yellow lights mean stop and not speed up, pedestrians have the right of way, etc..., then they will drive differently. I learned from my dad in the same way. He was a test driver for military tanks during WWII and the Korean conflict.
Hope I am not seen as preaching.
