I posted about a week back and got a good opinion on Peterson automotive in Skokie (illinois). Dropped off the car, they did a full inspection of the whole car and found pretty much everything wrong with it (antenna, rear washer nozzle, front ball joint) and also asked about the timing belt, was it done, when, etc. Showed good knowledge of the car.

Anyhoo, the problem was the O2 and the knock sensors, fixed em' up for a good price. Said the cat converter wasn't working, but instead of just fixing it they fixed the O2 to see if that would resolve the cat, and it did, ergo, no extra repairs. I only wish I r/r the O2's last fall when I first thought about it.

Decent price, fixed it right away, not real good with the small talk ("the faulty O2's wouldn't let the engine heat up so the cat didnt heat up, is that what happened?" response "No."), but they had a lot of saabs parked in the waiting lot. Very accomodating as well re payment and pick up.
