So far it is pretty good rules moving "back" Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Thu, 26 Jan 2006 14:14:16 In Reply to: No duty or other hitches?..., Mike Lynch [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 26 Jan 2006 12:51:17 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If you have lived outside Sweden for more than one year (resident in another country and technically moved out of Sweden) you are allowed to take back "moving goods" and pay no tax and custom fees on it.
But you have had to own and operated the car for more than one year abroad and you need to have it registred in your name in Sweden for 1 year before you can sell it after importing it.
It is also certain rules as far as equipment on the cars that you can get away with that Swedes can't have on there cars bought in Sweden.
As for warranty, I don't know if it is still only 1 year factory warranty and if so, the car is to old anyway.
