Many jurisdictions have rules about obscuring a plate, and the blockers are noticible by cops on the road.

With traffic light/speeding cameras, the ticket is issued to the registered owner and, at least in VA, the ticket/letter offers three options. First, plead guilty and pay, second, accept the court date, and third, sign and have notarized a statement that you were not driving the vehicle at the time of the infraction.

So to defeat the system, I see two to possibilities.

The first is easiest to implement but obviously beyond the ken of some drivers, including some who post here (including you perhaps): drive courtesously, don't speed or run lights, leave enough space between you and the guy in front. But somehow, I know that those ideas are not what you are looking for.

Second, if married, register your car backwards, for example, my wifes primary vehicle is registered in my name. Any infractions caught by a camera with that vehicle comes to me, but if I wasn't driving, I can honestly state I wasn't driving. A quick signature with a notary at my bank, and it goes away. But somehow, based on your suggestions, I doubt that you have the maturity to handle this option either as I suspect if you were married, you would already be doing the suggestions in the first option.

For you, I say keep at what you are doing until you can't afford the court time and insurance premiums. When you get there, if you aren't taking metro because you lost your license, I sincerely hope you start to implement the courteous driving suggestion.
