The ad errors are not good at all. I bet you it's because they got rid of headcount and people (like me) who used to check through this stuff have their responsibilities transferred to the ad agencies whose people may not know as much about the products, company. I supported Saturn.com as project manager and they offered me and all my cohorts buy-outs so lots of people left, never to be replaced.
To be fair, GM has had its share of great advertising and marketing as well, like Cadillac Breakthrough. I can't say the Saab marketing has been that great although I do always like the look of the brochures and the website redesign is a huge step forward. The last Saab campaign I liked was the animated "Find Your Own Road" campaign which definitely worked on me. I like cartoons like the Simpsons anyway.
Although there should be no factual mistakes or the fuzzyclaim that Saab is a car/plane company, but most people wouldn't know or care about the specific details of plane, jet history.
