Of all the boards I frequent, the most BMC'ing (b!tch moan complain) seems to be done on SaabNet.

I don't know why you think GM killed the brand.

I loved my 00 9-3, liked my 9-2x, and love my current 9-3ss

Not sure what is so bad, yeah the radio blow a$$ (I had the agency Boxster last week--now that stereo blows and it is in a $46k+ vehicle), you want NAVI? Get a freaking Tom Tom, most OEM units suck and add a great deal to the MSRP or make you buy a package deal.

I have a car that is reliable, has a great interior (yeah a lot of you complain about the plasticy feel of the 9-3ss), great seats, I got 36mpg this past weekend, I can still easily carry a load even with out the hatch.

I am pretty sure that GM has given up on the Saab die-hards and is going after a new market, hence the 9-2x (younger drivers, more diverse) and the 9-7x (more women and larger families). The chances of some dude in a 87 900 buying a new 9-5 is probably pretty low. So why should Saab care about them?
