Well your hydraulic jack is broken anyway so you need to get another one.
I have learned and was forced to adapt in this consumerism driven economy over the years. These things made in you know where are so cheap it is hard not to. My first hydraulic floor jack bought 16 years ago for $25 it had a piston seal go bad in 5 or 6 years. I bought a new one for the same price but I kept the bad one in my garage hoping to find a rubber seal to fix it but never did. I contact the importer for spare parts. They told me to just get another floor jack because they do not stock parts.
The second one went bad last year. So I bought a third floor jack. Now by this time my garage was bursting at the seams with so much junk, I got rid of the first jack and the second giving up any hope to fix them.
Sometimes I think it is a crime that we live such a wasteful way of life while people in Africa die like maggots due to man made or natural disasters for no reason what-so-ever but I digressed.
