Thanks - I appreciate the suggestions
But, since we started with a pest control company- and they identified them as regular wild honeybees; by law the honeybees can only be killed if someone has a life or death allergy - which we or the neighbors do not. Probably sounds silly but I'd just as soon have them rescued- the wild ones are dying off at an alarming rate....but I just didn't plan on spending $500+ to help them out. Ah, well, it's probably only $1 per bee and that side of the house needed painting anyway. (The Critter Control company said they are removing a hive in a building in a nearby town that covers two stories and is as big as a car.)
