She has always wanted a bright red VW GTI but her *best friend*, knowing this, decided to go out and buy one recently which kind of left a sour taste in her mouth to put it lightly.. Obviously, she would have to pick another color GTI and one that was faster/cooler..
She loves the Mini but criticized it for being a dog and that the S model would be mandatory. One problem: the budget factor.
Mazdas are on the list. She likes them. There are several to choose from but, alas no coupes. I like the protege 5.
She would love a 3-series BMW, but 5spd coupes have been hard to find. Also NE winters don't lend well to RWD.
Nissan is practically giving away cars and a Sentra SE-R SpecV w/ limited slip, sway bars, rims, etc isn't a bad option performance-wise although, I wouldn't want to get hit in one. However, she could probably finance a 2005 model. I sat in this car and I liked it. Unfortunately, she doesn't like it. Oddly the MazdaSpeed Protege and the Nissan SE-R SpecV are very close feature-wise.
Please keep posting your thoughts
Thanks -Steve
