In '86, when I bought my SPG, one of the reasons I liked it was because I thought it looked like a future classic car. Back in the day, acid guru Timothy Leary coined the phrase "Futique" to describe things being produced currently that will become the antiques of the future. I remember thinking during the test drive "This car is a futique." Twenty years later and I still think it's a great design. Seems like there are a few cars that look great when they're first introduced but wear thin esthetically over just a few years. On the other hand there are a fewer number that can stand the test of time - usually designs which are unique in some way while at the same time have an esthetic balance that always has a "right" look to it. Maybe I'm biased also, but to my eye, C900's will always look good no matter how old they become.
