and not JUST c900's..the origional issue 9000's are head turners as well. Both cars have a certain look of "utility" about them. That look is more popular now...witness the SUV's. The pre GM Saabs were designed "form follows function". Useful items, be they cars or whatever never lose their "looks".
Unfortunately the newer 9000's, 900's 9-3's and 9-5's were designed to look "more acceptable" and lost that look....just when "utility" became "stylish"!!
I don't have a friend or family member who doesn't point out every c900 and c9000 they see...they don't notice the new ones...I've never decided if that means they like 'em or what???
I agree that the c900, as well as the 9000's are as stylish today as they were when Saab ruled the sports sedan world in the eighties. As for performance, the '91 9000T (nearly 80's) was the fastest production 4 door in the world, and is STILL the fastest Saab ever built!
The new GM cars may appeal to a wider audience, but they won't look this good at 15-20+!!
Long live the 80's Saabs!!
Chris
'06 Infiniti M35 15k big inside, small outside..remember the 9000??
'05 Mazda3 hatch 20k feels like a c900 in the turns...
'88 SPG 150k still a great little car...soon to a new home
'88 900TC 235k+ gone to new home...not forgotten
'91 9000T 151k+ gone to new home...not forgotten
