I just had to clean the north side of my house with bleach after about 5 years (Maine). The white trim was getting sorta grey, and the grey clapboards were getting a little green. Gently scrubbed on bleach with a brush is very effective down low. I haven't needed to get up high yet but will probably try a pressure washer when I have to do up high.

You can really use a MUCH lower dilution of bleach. 2 cups per gallon should be effective and not cause any irritation. It just takes a few minutes longer to do it's job. I hose the area off after a few minutes.
