I did a shorter version a few weeks back with a Porsche 944 cabriolet from Minn/St Paul back to CT. I was happily motoring along Rt. 80 in Central PA, near Lock Haven Sunday afternoon when the roadway stopped, and I mean stopped. I was there for three hours inching along to go ten miles. With me were approximatly one thousand 18 wheelers. No lie. When I finally got to the source of the problem, both lanes went down to one and stayed that way for ten miles! No cops, no advance warning, no nothing. It apparently is like that every Sunday as heavy weekend traffic and the many truckers converge from Midwest to NYCity. Approach to GW bridge was also heavy delay same reason. Ny State thruway to Albany might make more sense, or get a hotel before Lock Haven, PA area
