It's hard to lose a parent. Been there twice. Take the mental and emotional time you need to adjust. As for the money, you have time to think on it as probate and other stuff may delay its arrival.
So you have time to think about how to use it. I'm no financial advisor, but if you don't have a house of your own that is certainly a good investment, and in most markets today there are deals to be had. Real estate, in general, is a good investment. We inherited some money from my wife's mom and are saving some and putting some towards a vacation cabin.
As for starting a business, the answer is "it depends." You need to make sure the business idea is viable, and can deliver a decent return. Do the research, planning and due diligence so you really understand what you are getting into. There are a whole lot of "gotchas" out there and being prepared is important.
And that 914 will be a fun little car. Take the time to enjoy it, too.
Keep us posted.
