Yeah, good one! I couldn't get to sleep one night... restless from a work project that went on too long and my wife was outta town so I took a drive on the LA freeways late one night... on my way back home I ended up doing about 100 mph on the Pasadena freeway (our nation's first!) and to my surprise a motorcycle cop pulled up next to me at the end of the freeway:
"Do you know you were going almost 100mph?"
(I flash sheepish grin but say nothing).
"Been drinkin'?"
"Absolutely not officer... I just couldn't sleep."
"OK, SLOW DOWN next time!"
And with that I narrowly avoided a night in the clink. Wheeew! Needless to say I learned my lesson.
Drive safe.
