Does anyone know anything about this guy Ethan at Kramer Micro Repair? I recently bought a Viggen which had a SID "repaired" by this guy just before I finalized the purchase of my car. The SID was still missing quite a lot of pixels the day I drove the car home and it has steadily gotten worse. To be fair, some days it is surprisingly pretty good, but more often than not is missing huge chunks of visability. Bottom line, I have tried to reach the guy through EBay, a written letter, and several emails. All I wanted to do was confirm his return/warranty procedure which is spelled out in his Ebay auctions, before I pulled the unit and just sent it to him without contacting him first. It has been over a MONTH and I cannot get a straight answer as to whether he is going to make the re-repair or not. I am getting more than a little frustrated and was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with this guy and his service. Researching some of his postings at this site, it seems that he actually learned his repair "technique" from other posters here and has only been doing this as a for profit service since late last year. If I had known of his lack of experience I would have seen that repair was carried out by someone else in the first place. Seems a little odd to me that someone would use this board to learn of a repair procedure and then sell it back to its users but maybe that is just me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
