The car had been rebuilt, but he had all kinds of electrical issues. Bad relays, lights funky, SRS, DI, etc. Also things from sitting too long, like brake calipers. Then his serpentine belt kept shredding, and he found that the ps pump was shot, and the support bracked bent out of shape so that it was not lined up right. Fortunately he had a great indy who was able to straighten things out and drop in a used pump. Oh, and then there was the front passenger seat that was bent out of shape and kept jamming on the track.
He had more problems with that car than I've had in 6 Saabs over 29yrs. That said, he got another 140,000 miles out of the car. Personally, I'd avoid a front hit front wheel drive. Or any hit for that matter, no matter how well put together.
